Eubank Jr. Released from Hospital After Benn Fight
Following his triumph over Conor Benn, Chris Eubank Jr. has been discharged from a London hospital, according to recent reports.
After his Saturday fight with Benn, Eubank Jr. was promptly taken to the medical facility and kept under observation for a day and a half due to dehydration issues.
He employed intense dehydration methods to cut weight for two days, and his body struggled to produce sweat during the bout because of fluid depletion.
During his hospital stay, the 35-year-old boxer underwent careful monitoring of his kidneys, brain, and heart functions.
In a captivating 12-round match held at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Chris Eubank Jr. edged out Conor Benn, delivering a thrilling contest.
Eubank shared on social media, “It took nearly three years, but we finally accomplished our mission.”
He further added, “A huge thank you to everyone who supported the fight on Saturday, turning it into an unforgettable event. This wouldn’t have been possible without the fans; thank you.”
The judges unanimously scored the fight 116-112 in favor of Eubank Jr., igniting a wave of excitement among the spectators.
Notably, Eubank Sr. had previously defeated Conor Benn’s father, Nigel Benn, back in 1990.
Speculation suggests that a rematch between the boxers might occur soon, with Saudi Boxing head Turki Alalshikh hinting at a potential September date.
Benn is already back in training after the setback. He posted a video on social media reflecting on his first professional defeat, captioning the video, “Attack the week, make the days count.”
