PSL 10 Matches Rescheduled by PCB

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced the rescheduling of two Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 matches. The changes are attributed to operational logistics and recent heat waves experienced in various regions of the country.

According to an official statement from the PCB, the afternoon match on May 1 between the Multan Sultans and the Karachi Kings, initially planned to take place at the Multan Cricket Stadium, has been relocated to the Gaddafi Stadium.

As a result, the Gaddafi Stadium will now be the sole venue for the May 1 double-header. The subsequent game between the Lahore Qalandars, the home team, and the Quetta Gladiators will proceed as scheduled at the same location.

Additionally, the final match of the Multan leg, featuring the Multan Sultans playing against the Quetta Gladiators, has also been moved and will now be held on the evening of May 11.

The cricket board stated that the decision to alter the match schedules was made to ensure smoother operations and in response to the recent heat waves affecting some areas of the nation.

Earlier reports indicated that the PCB was considering rescheduling the matches following a request from the tournament’s broadcasting partners, who cited logistical challenges.

In the current tournament standings, Islamabad United, a three-time PSL champion, leads the table with 10 points, having won all five of their matches.

Lahore Qalandars, who have won the title twice, are currently in second place with six points from three victories and three defeats in six games. The Karachi Kings hold the third position, matching Lahore Qalandars in terms of wins and losses but with a net run rate of -0.217.

Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators are in fourth and fifth place, respectively, each with two wins and four points. The Multan Sultans are at the bottom of the standings, having secured only two points from one win and five losses in six matches.
