The Cavaliers took a slight lead of 25-24 after the first quarter and built on it with a 36-point second quarter, gaining momentum and maintaining control.
Despite Miami’s attempts to rally, Cleveland’s consistent scoring and strong defense allowed them to remain in command throughout the game.

Following the game, Mitchell commented on the team’s tenacity and collaborative effort.
“I appreciate the way the game unfolded. We really had to come together as a team, and we stepped up,” Mitchell stated. “I focused on identifying mismatches and capitalizing on opportunities.”
The series now moves to Miami for Game 3, where the Heat will aim to recover and prevent falling into a significant 3-0 deficit. The game is scheduled for later this week.
