Pakistan and UAE Ink Agreements to Enhance Cooperation

On Monday, Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) formalized several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at bolstering collaboration across diverse sectors, including cultural exchange, commerce, and consular services.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, alongside his UAE counterpart, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, formalized an MoU between the UAE Ministry of Culture and Pakistan’s Culture Division. This agreement is designed to foster enhanced cooperation within the cultural domain.

The two high-ranking officials also jointly signed a separate MoU focusing on the establishment of a joint committee dedicated to consular affairs.

Furthermore, both parties were present for the exchange of an MoU between the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI). This MoU outlines the creation of the UAE-Pakistan Joint Business Council.

UAE Assistant Minister for Economic and Trade Affairs, Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, and FPCCI President Atif Ikram Sheikh officially exchanged the signed documents during the ceremony.

Earlier, in welcoming remarks to the UAE Deputy Prime Minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, DPM Dar noted the enduring fraternal relationship between the two nations, characterized by mutual dedication and goodwill.

He emphasized the collaborative efforts undertaken by both countries to promote the prosperity and well-being of their respective populations.

The UAE DPM conveyed his appreciation for the hospitality received during his visit to Pakistan, stating that Pakistan holds a special place in the hearts of the people of the UAE and in his own heart.

Expressing contentment with the positive trajectory of bilateral relations, he affirmed that both countries’ leadership is committed to further strengthening this bond.
