Indonesia’s Palm Oil Exports Experience Slight Dip in March

Data released by the statistics bureau on Monday indicates that Indonesia’s exports of both crude and refined palm oil reached 2.02 million metric tons in March. This represents a marginal decrease from the 2.06 million tons recorded in the preceding month.

The value of these March shipments amounted to $2.19 billion, a slight decrease from February’s $2.27 billion, as per the data.

Palm oil prices marked their third consecutive week of decline, hitting a 28-week low.

It is important to note that the bureau’s figures exclude palm kernel oil, oleochemicals, and biodiesel.

The Indonesian Palm Oil Association (GAPKI) typically publishes its data at a later time. GAPKI’s data encompasses a broader range of products, leading to differing export figures.
