United Insurance Partners with 1Link to Offer Digital Insurance Services

United Insurance Company of Pakistan Ltd. has formed a strategic alliance with 1Link (Pvt.) Ltd. to deliver digital insurance solutions using 1Link’s extensive platform throughout the country.

For the first time in Pakistan, banking and microfinance clients can now obtain United Insurance policies through digital means, such as mobile applications and online portals. This initiative is designed to simplify the process of issuing microinsurance policies and handling claims, thereby enhancing user experience and security, especially for those in underserved regions.

United Insurance is the first private insurer in Pakistan to collaborate with 1Link for digital distribution. This alliance is poised to broaden accessibility and boost consumer confidence in the insurance market.

The agreement was formalized with signatures from Mian Shahid, the CEO of United Insurance, and Najeeb Agrawalla, the CEO of 1Link. Hassan Tariq, who heads UBL’s Digital Team, also attended, underscoring United Bank Limited’s function as the settlement bank for United Insurance’s 1Bill services. Industry observers view this partnership as a pivotal advancement in the digitalization of insurance services in Pakistan.
