Hajj Pilgrims to Receive Enhanced Facilities in Mina
Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Sardar Mohammad Yousuf, stated on Friday that Pakistani Hajj pilgrims will receive enhanced amenities. These include folding mattresses and air conditioning in their Mina camps in Saudi Arabia.
The minister made these remarks during a visit to the Hajji Camp in Karachi. The purpose of the visit was to observe the final Hajj preparatory session organized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony.
During the session, the minister commended the dedication to providing essential information about performing Hajj. He highlighted the importance of the methods and procedures shared with the pilgrims.
“Several new adjustments have been implemented in the Hajj process. These changes, supported by both the Saudi and Pakistani governments, are designed to simplify the pilgrimage for everyone,” he added.
He mentioned that the government has arranged accommodation for all pilgrims in “Markaziya.” This is to ensure convenient access to assistance and support.
He emphasized the importance of discipline among the pilgrims as they represent Pakistan in the holy land. He urged them to maintain order in queues, demonstrate patience, and adhere to the specified guidelines.
Ministry-appointed speakers provided a comprehensive session to the pilgrims, covering the attributes, characteristics, and sequence of Hajj rituals. The preparatory session detailed the essential pillars and requirements for Hajj pilgrims to successfully complete their pilgrimage.
The ministry will supply a Pakistan-branded scarf, trolley, and mini bag to help with identification and ensure organized packing for all pilgrims.
Pilgrims will also receive a SIM card to enable WhatsApp calls from Saudi Arabia, a service not available with locally purchased SIMs. This initiative aims to help pilgrims stay connected with their families at home, the minister noted.
