Islamabad Airport Achieves Record Cargo Revenue in March

Islamabad International Airport (IIAP) reported a record-breaking collection of Rs72.3 million in cargo throughput charges (CTC) for March 2025, according to information released by the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA).

The PAA noted that this figure marks the highest monthly revenue since November 2021, when collections reached Rs49 million.

This positive surge is due to the initiation of import cargo operations managed by SF Cargo, utilizing B757-200 aircraft operating under flight numbers 03-233/234 on the Urumqi-Islamabad-Urumqi (URC-ISB-URC) route.

SF Cargo officially started its flight operations at Islamabad International Airport last month.

The press release stated that the cargo service began with around 22,775 kg of cargo per flight and currently operates twice weekly, specifically on Tuesdays and Fridays, with arrivals anticipated at approximately 11:30 a.m. The airline intends to increase this to four weekly flights soon.
