Ben Affleck Praises Jennifer Lopez in Rare Comments

Ben Affleck recently shared some candid remarks regarding his former spouse, Jennifer Lopez (JLo).

During a conversation with Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of The Accountant 2, the 52-year-old actor and filmmaker expressed admiration for JLo.

Affleck was accompanied by their children at the event. He has three children—Samuel, 13, Seraphina, 16, and Violet, 19—with Jennifer Garner. JLo has 17-year-old twins, Emme and Max, from her previous marriage to Marc Anthony.

He remarked, “The kids are here, Jen’s kids are here. I’m genuinely thrilled. It brings me joy when all the kids are present.”

The Academy Award winner mentioned that he remains on good terms with the “On The Floor” singer and her children, despite their recent divorce.

Affleck stated, “I tend to avoid reading online commentary, but I sometimes sense that people amplify negativity unnecessarily.”

He further commented, “Let the record show that Jennifer Lopez is incredible, wonderful to my children, and maintains a great ongoing relationship with them. I hold her children in high regard. They are remarkable individuals. She is an extraordinarily significant person of immense integrity whom I admire and appreciate.”

The Daredevil actor conveyed his happiness at being surrounded by JLo’s children, saying, “I’m overjoyed that the children are here with me. The relationships one can cultivate with children in that capacity are a source of immense joy. These children are fantastic, and I’m pleased they wanted to attend this movie.”

Affleck and the Boy Next Door actress married in July 2022, two decades after their initial engagement was called off.

However, JLo filed for divorce in August 2024, following two years of marriage.

Notably, the high-profile Hollywood couple, who finalized their divorce in January 2025, had separated four months prior to the divorce filing.
