King Charles and Queen Camilla have released three new portraits to mark their 20th wedding anniversary on April 9, 2025. The photographs were taken in the picturesque gardens of Villa Wolkonsky in Rome during their official visit to Italy.
In the images, Queen Camilla dons an elegant Anna Valentine coat dress, accessorized with the Queen Mother’s Lily of the Valley brooch, symbolizing continuity and homage to royal heritage. King Charles complements her in a classic navy pinstriped suit.
Accompanying the release, the royal couple shared a heartfelt message:
“As we begin our first visit to Italy as King and Queen, we are so looking forward to celebrating our twentieth wedding anniversary in such a special place – and with such wonderful people! A presto, Roma e Ravenna!”
Their Italian tour includes visits to Rome and Ravenna, aiming to strengthen the enduring relationship between the United Kingdom and Italy. Upon arrival at Ciampino Airport, King Charles and Queen Camilla were welcomed with a military band and a Guard of Honour, underscoring the significance of their visit.
These portraits not only commemorate a personal milestone but also highlight the couple’s ongoing commitment to diplomatic engagements and cultural connections on the international stage.
