Pakistan Day Parade 2025: Scaled-Down Celebrations Amid Ramadan Observance

The 85th Pakistan Day, commemorating the historic Lahore Resolution of 1940, will be observed on March 23, 2025. This year, the traditional military parade will be conducted on a limited scale due to the holy month of Ramadan.

Venue and Participants

Departing from its usual venue at Parade Avenue, the 2025 parade is scheduled to take place within the premises of Aiwan-e-Sadr (the President’s House) in Islamabad. The event will feature contingents from Pakistan’s Army, Navy, and Air Force, showcasing the nation’s military prowess and unity.

Ceremonial Highlights

President Asif Ali Zardari will preside over the ceremony as the chief guest. The Pakistan Air Force is set to perform a fly-past, exhibiting fighter jets in a display of aerial maneuvers. Additionally, the renowned Pipe and Percussion Band of the Pakistan Army will perform, adding to the traditional fervor of the celebrations.

Attendance and Honors

The ceremony will be attended by foreign ambassadors and other distinguished guests. In line with tradition, foreign dignitaries and national heroes are expected to be honored with the country’s highest civilian awards during the event.
