PSL 11 Strengthens Global Reach Amid India Broadcast Ban
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that the broadcast rights for the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 11 will not be sold in India. Instead, the global media rights have been awarded to Walee Technologies, marking a significant milestone for the league’s commercial growth.
PSL 11 is scheduled to run from March 26 to May 3, 2026, with the players’ auction set for February 11. The PCB confirmed that Walee Technologies secured the one-year international media rights deal after surpassing the reserve price, delivering a 149% increase in value compared to the previous cycle.
Salman Naseer, CEO of PSL, expressed satisfaction with the outcome, noting that the deal validates the league’s growing brand value and competitive quality. He emphasized that the PSL continues to attract strong global interest, reinforcing confidence in its long-term commercial trajectory.
Muhammad Ahsan Tahir, CEO of Walee Technologies, described the achievement as a landmark for Pakistani innovation. He highlighted the partnership as a victory for “Made in Pakistan” technology and promised exciting developments in the league’s digital and broadcast experience.
Since its inception in 2016, the PSL has consistently expanded its commercial footprint through media rights, sponsorships, and digital platforms. The decision to withhold broadcast rights in India underscores the PCB’s strategic positioning while strengthening the league’s presence in other international markets.
With PSL 11 approaching, fans worldwide can expect enhanced coverage and a dynamic viewing experience, as the league continues to establish itself as one of the premier T20 cricket competitions globally.
