PCB Adjusts Hanif Mohammad Trophy Schedule Due to Weather
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced a revised schedule for the third round of the Hanif Mohammad Trophy. This adjustment comes in response to anticipated rainfall across several host cities.
The cricket board has indicated that the third round, initially planned to begin on Wednesday, will now commence on Thursday, September 11. This decision is due to weather forecasts predicting rain in Bahawalpur, Karachi, Multan, and Rahim Yar Khan.
In an official statement, the PCB noted, “The six matches scheduled for the third round of the ongoing Hanif Mohammad Trophy have been moved to start on Thursday, September 11, instead of Wednesday, September 10, because of expected rainfall in Bahawalpur, Karachi, Multan, and Rahim Yar Khan.”
Here’s the updated schedule:
Group A Matches:
- Hyderabad versus Quetta at Abbasia Sports Complex, Rahim Yar Khan
- Lahore Blues versus Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) at Dring Stadium, Bahawalpur
- Faisalabad versus Karachi Whites at Multan Cricket Stadium
Group B Matches:
All Group B matches will be held across three venues – National Bank Stadium, SBP Sports Complex, and UBL Sports Complex.
- Karachi Blues versus Dera Murad Jamali at National Bank Stadium, Karachi
- FATA versus Larkana at SBP Sports Complex, Karachi
- Rawalpindi versus Multan at UBL Sports Complex, Karachi
