Earthquake Shakes Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit Baltistan
The National Seismic Monitoring Centre confirmed that moderate earthquake tremors were felt across various regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday.
The earthquake, registering a magnitude of 5.3, impacted areas including Peshawar, Swat, Malakand, Swabi, and Mansehra, alongside adjacent locales. Gahkuch city in Gilgit Baltistan’s Ghizer district also experienced the seismic activity.
According to the seismic center, the quake’s point of origin was traced to the Hindu Kush region in Afghanistan. Initial assessments indicate no immediate reports of injuries or structural damages.
