Rabada to Miss ODI Series Against Australia Due to Injury

CAIRNS: In a blow to South Africa’s cricket squad, fast bowler Kagiso Rabada has been sidelined for the upcoming three-game One Day International series versus Australia because of an ankle ailment.

Cricket South Africa (CSA) stated that following scans performed in Cairns, the 30-year-old was diagnosed with inflammation in his right ankle.

He will remain in Australia to receive treatment and rehabilitation under the guidance of the Proteas’ medical team.

“Kagiso Rabada has been ruled out of the three-match ODI series against Australia due to inflammation in his right ankle,” CSA mentioned in a statement. “He underwent a scan on Monday, which confirmed the injury’s severity. He will stay in Australia for rehab supervised by our medical personnel.”
