Commemorative Rs75 Coin Issued by SBP for Marka-e-Haq and Independence Day
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has unveiled a commemorative coin with a denomination of Rs75, honoring both the Marka-e-Haq military campaign against India in May and the nation’s Independence Day.
According to an SBP statement, “The federal government is pleased to issue a commemorative coin of Rs75 denomination to recognize the bravery of our armed forces during the Marka-e-Haq and to commemorate Independence Day appropriately.”
Marka-e-Haq Details
Marka-e-Haq is the designated official term for the broader conflict with India spanning from July 22 to May 10 of the current year, whereas Bunyanum Marsoos refers to the specific operation conducted on May 10.
Coin Specifications
The coin’s composition, form, and dimensions are detailed as follows:
- Obverse: The front of the coin features a rising crescent moon and a five-pointed star facing North-West at its center. The inscription “ISLAMI JAMHURIA PAKISTAN” is written in Urdu script along the periphery above the crescent star. The year of issuance, 2025, is positioned below the crescent and atop two upward-curved wheat springs. The coin’s face value, represented as “75” in bold numerals and “RUPIA” in Urdu script, appears on the right and left sides of the crescent star, respectively.
- Reverse: The back of the coin displays the phrase “MARKA-E-HAQ” in Urdu script and the numeral “2025” in the center. The phrase “PAKISTAN HAMESHA ZINDABAD” in Urdu script is inscribed along the periphery at the top. The design includes two fighter aircraft (depicted on the right and left sides), a naval ship, and a Multiple Rocket Launcher System (MRLS).
The central bank stated that “The coin will be available from August 15, 2025, at the exchange counters of all SBP Banking Services Corporation field offices.”
