Mughal Energy’s Hybrid Power Plant Nears Completion

Mughal Energy announced on Thursday that its 36.50 MW Hybrid Power Plant is in the final stages of development, subsequent to the successful completion of hydro testing.

The company disclosed this update in a notification to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Wednesday.

The notification stated that hydro testing is an essential phase, ensuring the structural soundness and pressure resistance of pipelines, boilers, and associated systems before electrical work begins.

According to the notice, the successful conclusion of this phase signifies substantial advancement toward the plant’s Commercial Operation Date (COD).

The organization expects the project to become operational during the second quarter of FY 2026.

Mughal Energy, established on August 19, 2012, is a Public Limited Company based in Lahore, Pakistan.

The company’s primary goal is to generate, procure, import, transform, convert, distribute, supply, export, and trade in electricity and all other forms of energy, along with associated products and services.
