Lahore: In a bid to enhance healthcare accessibility, the Punjab Health Department has announced extended outpatient department (OPD) hours at all government teaching hospitals across the province.

Updated OPD Schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday & Saturday: 8 AM to 3 PM (one hour extension)
  • Friday: 8 AM to 1 PM

The adjusted timings are designed to accommodate a larger number of patients, reduce waiting times, and provide more flexible access to medical care — especially for those traveling from remote or underserved areas.

Administrations at all teaching hospitals have been instructed to ensure strict adherence to the new schedule, which is expected to significantly improve service delivery.
