Gold Prices Surge in Pakistan
On Thursday, gold rates in Pakistan experienced an increase, mirroring trends observed in the global market. The price of gold per tola in the local market climbed to Rs362,200, marking a significant gain of Rs2,900 during the day’s trading.
According to data released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the cost of 10-gram gold reached Rs310,528, reflecting an increase of Rs2,487.
The previous day, Wednesday, saw the gold price per tola rise to Rs359,300, with a daily increase of Rs1,300.
Internationally, gold rates also showed an upward trajectory. The global rate reached $3,395 per ounce (including a premium of $20), which is a gain of $29, according to APGJSA.
In related news, the price of silver per tola also saw an increase, rising by Rs49 to reach Rs4,059.
