Asia Cup 2025 Schedule: Dubai to Host Key Matches
The president of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), Mohsin Naqvi, revealed the schedule and timings for the ACC Men’s Asia Cup 2025 on Saturday. The tournament is set to take place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 9 to 28.
Chairman Naqvi stated that the eight-team competition will be held at two venues in the UAE: the Dubai International Cricket Stadium and the Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
Abu Dhabi’s Zayed Cricket Stadium is slated to host eight matches of the Asia Cup 2025, which includes a Super Four stage match on September 23.
The majority of the tournament matches will be conducted at the Dubai stadium. This includes the highly anticipated match between Pakistan and India on September 14, as well as the final match scheduled for September 28.
All matches are scheduled to commence at 6 PM Gulf Standard Time, except for the game between the UAE and Oman on September 15.
The upcoming edition of the tournament will utilize the T20 format, acting as a preparatory event for the T20 World Cup 2026, which will be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka in February.
Eight teams, divided into two groups, will compete for the title. Pakistan and India are in Group A, alongside the UAE and Oman, while Group B consists of Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, and Hong Kong.
The tournament will commence on September 9 with a match between Afghanistan and Hong Kong in Abu Dhabi.
Pakistan will begin its campaign against Oman on September 12 and will then face India on September 14.
The green shirts will play their remaining group-stage match against the UAE on September 17.
The top two teams from each group will proceed to the Super Four stage, setting the stage for a potential second match between Pakistan and India on September 21.
The top two teams from the Super Four stage will then compete in the final on September 28.
