Minister Bilal bin Saqib Discusses Crypto Policy with US Official

Bilal bin Saqib, the Minister of State for Crypto and Blockchain, recently engaged in a meeting with Robert Bo Hines, the Executive Director of President Trump’s Council on Digital Assets. According to a press statement, their discussion centered on the international harmonization of cryptocurrency regulations and Pakistan’s ambitious goals to establish itself as a key regional center for Web3 advancements.

This discussion builds upon the minister’s trip to the United States in June, during which he participated in in-depth meetings with prominent American legislators, including Senators Cynthia Lummis, Tim Sheehy, and Rick Scott, along with New York City Mayor Eric Adams and Bo Hines.

The meeting also occurred after US President Donald Trump revealed that his government had reached an agreement with Pakistan for Washington to collaborate with Islamabad on developing the South Asian country’s oil resources.

Trump stated on social media that they had just finalized a deal with Pakistan, where the US and Pakistan will partner to develop their significant oil reserves.

He added that they are in the process of selecting the oil firm to spearhead this partnership, suggesting that Pakistan might eventually sell oil to India.
