Pakistani Batsmen Make Gains in Latest ICC T20I Rankings

Following their performances in the recent three-match T20I series against Bangladesh, Pakistani players Sahibzada Farhan and Hasan Nawaz have seen upward movement in the updated ICC T20I rankings, even though Pakistan lost the series 2-1.

Sahibzada Farhan’s Notable Rise

Farhan achieved a significant leap, advancing 69 places to enter the top 100 batsmen. He now occupies the 97th position with a total of 389 rating points.

Hasan Nawaz Climbs the Ranks

Hasan Nawaz, a middle-order batsman, also improved his ranking, ascending 14 spots to share 54th place with South Africa’s David Miller. Both players currently hold 500 points.

Other Pakistani Players’ Movements

T20I captain Salman Ali Agha experienced a minor improvement, rising two positions to 91st with 400 points. Opener Saim Ayub also gained ground, moving up two places to secure 62nd position.

Top Batsmen See a Decline

Despite some individual advancements, several of Pakistan’s leading batsmen faced a decrease in their rankings. The star duo, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, dropped to 14th and 16th positions, respectively.

Rankings of Other Batsmen

Mohammad Haris experienced a considerable decline, falling 15 places to 65th with 476 points. Fakhar Zaman also slipped two spots to 81st, holding 422 points.

Top of the Batting Rankings

India’s Abhishek Sharma has overtaken Australia’s Travis Head for the top spot in batting rankings, with Tilak Varma securing third place.

Pakistani Bowlers’ Rankings

No Pakistani bowler is currently positioned within the top 20 of the bowling rankings.

Changes in Bowling Ranks

Pacers Abbas Afridi and Haris Rauf both descended two places, now holding 24th and 26th positions, respectively. Shaheen Afridi, however, moved up one spot to 35th with 536 points.

Spinner Abrar Ahmed fell two spots to 51st, while T20I vice-captain Shadab Khan also dropped two places to 67th.

Top Three Bowlers

New Zealand’s Jacob Duffy remains the leading T20I bowler, followed by England’s Adil Rashid in second place and India’s Varun Chakaravarthy in third.
