Pakistan to Face West Indies in T20I and ODI Series

The Pakistan cricket team is set to engage in a series of three T20Is and three ODIs against the West Indies in July and August.

DHAKA: The second segment of the Pakistan team designated for the forthcoming white-ball series against the West Indies has traveled from Dhaka to Lauderhill through Dubai.

As per details, the next cluster of Pakistani players en route to Lauderhill comprises Mohammad Haris, Hussain Talat, Hasan Nawaz, and Sahibzada Farhan, accompanied by coaching personnel and support staff.

The initial group, which includes T20I captain Salman Ali Agha, along with Saim Ayub, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Nawaz, Abrar Ahmed, Khushdil Shah, and Faheem Ashraf, started their journey on Friday.

Fast bowlers Ahmed Daniyal, Salman Mirza, and Abbas Afridi, who did not secure their positions in the national team for the upcoming white-ball series against the West Indies, have returned to Pakistan from Dhaka.

The tour will commence with a three-match T20I series against the West Indies, with games scheduled for July 31, August 2, and 3 at Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium in Lauderhill, USA.

Salman Ali Agha will captain the T20I team, which sees the return of prominent fast bowlers Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali, and Shaheen Shah Afridi.

Following the T20Is, both teams will compete in a three-match ODI series at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad & Tobago on August 8, 10, and 12.

Mohammad Rizwan will remain the captain of the 16-member ODI team, which includes only one uncapped player, Hasan Nawaz.

Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi have been recalled to strengthen the squad for the 50-over format.
