Federal Government Clarifies Status of Federal Constabulary
The federal government has issued a clarification regarding the newly-named Federal Constabulary, formerly known as the Frontier Constabulary. The government emphasized that this change is solely for restructuring purposes and should not be interpreted as the establishment of a federal police force.
“It is important to understand that this is a Federal Constabulary, not a federal police force. The FC will maintain its original identity,” stated Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry during a press conference on Monday, accompanied by FC Commandant Riaz Nazir Gara.
This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
