Aisam-ul-Haq Highlights Tennis Court Issues in Islamabad

LAHORE: Mohsin Naqvi, the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), engaged in discussions with Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, the President of the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF), regarding the advancement and expansion of tennis within the nation.

During the session, Aisam-ul-Haq shed light on the existing difficulties concerning tennis facilities located in Islamabad.

Subsequently, Chairman Naqvi instructed the concerned departments to address the prevailing problems and pledged unwavering support for tennis development throughout Pakistan.

“We are committed to building new tennis courts,” Mohsin Naqvi stated, reaffirming the PCB’s dedication to supporting various sports alongside cricket.

Aisam-ul-Haq lauded Naqvi for successfully securing Pakistan’s role as host of the ICC Champions Trophy and acknowledged his endeavors to elevate cricket at the national level.

He also conveyed his appreciation for the PCB’s willingness to endorse initiatives linked to tennis.

“Pakistan boasts significant talent in tennis, mirroring its cricketing prowess,” Naqvi remarked. “We aspire for our tennis players to bring honor to the country on an international stage.”

Emphasizing current trends, he noted, “Paddle tennis is gaining traction among young individuals, and we are dedicated to ensuring the Tennis Federation receives ample support to enable young athletes to capitalize on emerging prospects within this sport.”

“The PCB stands prepared to extend comprehensive assistance to the Pakistan Tennis Federation,” he affirmed.

Sameer Ahmed, the PCB’s Chief Operating Officer, also attended the meeting.
