Pakistan’s National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has successfully recovered Rs 2 billion in assets linked to a large-scale corruption scandal in Lahore. The seized resources include properties, bank balances, and other valuables connected to individuals accused of misappropriating public funds.

This recovery marks a significant milestone in the bureau’s ongoing initiative to combat financial misconduct and reclaim state money diverted through fraudulent schemes. NAB Lahore has intensified its investigations and asset-tracing actions across multiple cases involving procurement and contract irregularities.

NAB officials emphasized that recovered resources will be diverted to state coffers, reinforcing the government’s anti-corruption drive. This action sends a strong signal to corrupt actors that financial oversight and accountability efforts are becoming increasingly effective.

The operation also highlights NAB’s dedication to restoring public trust, strengthening governance, and upholding transparency across Punjab’s institutions.
