Punjab government ministers, including Malik Faisal Ayub Khokhar and Bilal Yasin, conducted late-night inspections of key Muharram procession routes in Lahore, like Nisar Haveli, Karbala Gamay Shah, and Pando Street, ensuring tight security ahead of Ashura. Their walkthroughs covered essentials like CCTV coverage, volunteer deployment, entry point checks, and contingency planning.

Minister Khokhar called for robust measures against rain-related disruption and emphasized utilities, lighting, water provision, and medical camps. Minister Yasin confirmed that Section 144 is enforced, sensitive zones are on high alert, and unauthorized gatherings are prohibited. Authorities also deployed control rooms to monitor cameras and drones in real time.

This comprehensive operation reflects inter‑agency coordination with law enforcement, district administration, Safe City units, and community volunteers, all working together to safeguard Muharram processions. The officials urged the public to cooperate with security personnel to ensure peaceful observance.
