Pakistan’s Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb has departed for Seville, Spain, to participate in the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FFD4) from July 1–3. His presence underscores Pakistan’s dedication to advancing sustainable development through global financial collaboration.

During the conference, the minister will:

  • Co-chair the multi-stakeholder roundtable on leveraging private investment.
  • Deliver a keynote at the International Business Forum on credit ratings and emerging market financing.
  • Address the General Debate and join discussions focused on reinvigorating international development partnerships.
  • Speak at a UNICEF side event on innovative financing for children and youth.
  • Lead a session on “Swapping Out Debt for Development,” highlighting Pakistan’s strategies for fiscal resilience.
  • Participate in a panel on SME financing to promote greater financial inclusion.

Aurangzeb will also hold bilateral meetings with key international figures such as the ICC Secretary‑General and the Dutch Vice Minister for Development. His engagement across high-level sessions demonstrates Pakistan’s proactive role in shaping global financial solutions, tackling debt challenges, SME funding, and child-centered investment initiatives ahead of the 2030 SDG targets.
