Pakistani women can now apply for the 27th Lady Cadet Course (LCC‑27) in the Pakistan Army, offering a pathway to be commissioned as Captains. Registration opened on June 23, 2025, and closes on July 22, 2025. Interested candidates must apply via the official recruitment portal or at Army Selection and Recruitment Centres nationwide.
Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Female citizens of Pakistan, unmarried (widows without children may apply)
- Maximum age: 28 years as of November 1, 2025
- Minimum education: 16 years (graduation) from an HEC-recognized institution, with a CGPA of 2.5 or 60% marks, and preference for MS/MPhil degree holders
- Minimum height: 5 feet (152.4 cm) with weight proportionate to BMI
- Fields of service include: Corps of Engineers (Architecture), Corps of Signals (Computer Science, Telecom), Ordnance (Textile Engineering), Electrical & Mechanical Engineering (Mechatronics, Biomedical), Army Education Corps (MA/MSc in selected subjects), and Remount Veterinary & Farms Corps (DVM)
The rigorous selection process includes written and intelligence tests, a 1.6 km run (within 14 minutes), medical examination, preliminary interview, ISSB assessment, and final training at the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA), Kakul.
Graduates of LCC‑27 will be commissioned as Captains across various corps, reinforcing the Army’s ongoing drive towards gender inclusivity and merit-based leadership roles. This initiative reflects a significant advancement in empowering Pakistani women to serve in leadership positions within the military structure.
