SNGPL to Establish Wholly Owned Subsidiary
Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has secured approval from its board to form a fully owned subsidiary. This move is viewed as a strategic initiative towards diversifying its business operations and broadening its scope.
The company made this announcement in a notification submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Thursday.
According to the notice, during the 638th Board of Directors meeting on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, the board greenlit the formation and registration of a wholly-owned subsidiary. The subsidiary will have an authorized share capital of Rs1 billion and an initial paid-up capital of Rs50 million.
The notification further stated that any expenses incurred by SNGPL during the registration of the new company will be billed to the subsidiary and recovered once it is officially established.
SNGPL Announces Record Profit and Dividend for FY 2023–24
SNGPL has declared its highest-ever profit for the fiscal year 2023-24, reporting a profit before tax of approximately Rs30 billion.
The profit after tax reached Rs19 billion, resulting in Earnings Per Share (EPS) of Rs29.92. This represents a substantial increase from the previous year’s profit after tax of Rs10.6 billion and EPS of Rs16.66.
Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited, incorporated in Pakistan under the Companies Act, 1913 (now the Companies Act, 2017), is a public limited company. Its primary business involves the procurement, transmission, distribution, and supply of natural gas.
