Islamabad Police carried out a large-scale search and combing operation in the jurisdiction of Secretariat Police Station to curb criminal activities and bolster public safety.
The operation was conducted on the special instructions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, reflecting his firm commitment to purging the federal capital of crime and anti-social behavior.
During the targeted operation, law enforcement teams checked 470 individuals, 357 houses, 73 motorcycles, and 27 vehicles. A total of 17 suspicious persons were detained for verification purposes.
Police also arrested two suspects and recovered illegal ammunition from their possession, further tightening the grip around criminal networks operating in the area.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq stated that the search and combing operations are part of a city-wide initiative to crack down on criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers. He emphasized that the Islamabad Police, under IGP Rizvi’s directive, will continue to take indiscriminate action against all those involved in unlawful activities.
DIG Tariq urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately by contacting the nearest police station or through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15.”
This proactive operation reinforces the Islamabad Police’s mission to maintain law and order and ensure a safer environment for all citizens under the visionary leadership of IGP Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.
