Bahrain Clinches AVC Men’s Volleyball Nations Cup Title Against Pakistan
ISA TOWN: In a remarkable comeback, Bahrain secured a 3-1 victory over Pakistan to win the AVC Men’s Volleyball Nations Cup at the Isa Bin Reshid Hall on Tuesday.
Pakistan started strong, taking the first set 25-23 to gain an initial advantage in the final.
Bahrain responded swiftly, dominating the second set and restricting Pakistan to just 16 points.
The triumph in the second set gave Bahrain momentum, leading them to outperform Pakistan in the following two sets with scores of 25-17 and 25-18. This secured a comprehensive win and the title of AVC Men’s Volleyball Nations Cup 2025 champions.
Notably, Pakistan entered the final match with an undefeated record in the tournament.
Pakistan’s Journey to the Final
Pakistan commenced their AVC Men’s Volleyball Nations Cup campaign with a convincing 3-1 victory against the Philippines.
The team secured their spot in the later stages after Chinese Taipei’s win over the Philippines guaranteed their qualification.
Pakistan then faced Chinese Taipei in their last Group C match, competing for the top spot, where Pakistan won a close match 3-2.
In the quarter-final, Pakistan rallied to defeat Indonesia 3-1.
During the semi-final, Pakistan delivered a dominant performance against Qatar, securing a 3-0 victory.
Pakistan initiated the semi-final strongly, defeating Qatar 25-22 in the first set within 25 minutes.
The second set was more extended, lasting approximately 31 minutes, but Pakistan prevailed again with a 25-22 score.
Qatar struggled in the third set, losing it 25-21.
