Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has officially launched the second phase of the ambitious “Clinic-on-Wheels” project, reaffirming her commitment to delivering free and immediate healthcare directly to the doorsteps of the province’s underprivileged residents.

During the launch, the Chief Minister stated her dream is to ensure that quality health facilities and essential medicines are accessible to everyone, regardless of their location. The new phase will see the “911 Clinic-on-Wheels” service available across all of Punjab, featuring upgraded, air-conditioned vehicles to enhance patient comfort and service quality.

The project has already demonstrated significant success, having provided free treatment to over one crore patients, with an average of 45,000 people receiving care daily.

To sustain and expand these crucial health services, the Punjab government is allocating a substantial Rs. 100 billion in the new budget. This funding will not only support the mobile clinics but also ensure the continuous availability of free medicines in government hospitals throughout the province.
