In a major crackdown on criminal elements, Islamabad Police teams from Secretariat, Shalimar, Tarnol, Sangjani, Industrial Area, Sabzi Mandi, Noon, Khanna, Humak, and Shahzad Town police stations arrested 23 suspects involved in various crimes.

As part of the operation, police recovered significant quantities of illegal substances and weapons, including 5594 grams of heroin, 5886 grams of hashish, 332 grams of ice (crystal meth), 30 bottles of liquor, and 08 pistols with ammunition.

Additionally, during a special campaign targeting proclaimed offenders and absconders, three more criminals were apprehended. FIRs have been lodged against the suspects, and further investigations are underway.

These operations were carried out under the direct supervision and special directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, who has reiterated his commitment to maintaining peace and order in the federal capital.

“Islamabad Police is fully committed to protecting the lives and property of citizens. No element will be allowed to disrupt public peace,” said an official spokesperson.

Citizens are strongly encouraged to report any suspicious activity to their nearest police station or via the emergency helpline Pucar-15. Public cooperation is vital to effectively eliminate crime and ensure a safe society for all.
