Pakistanis Dominate Asian Junior Squash Championship Quarterfinals

Pakistani athletes displayed exceptional form at the 32nd Asian Junior Squash Championship 2025, achieving numerous victories in the quarterfinals. Five players from Pakistan have successfully advanced to the semifinal stage.

Boys U19

Abdullah Nawaz delivered a dominant performance against Wong Wing Kuen from Hong Kong, securing a straight-game victory with scores of 11-4, 11-4, and 11-6, thus earning his spot in the semifinals.

Boys U15

In the Boys U15 division, two Pakistani players made significant progress. Nauman Khan, the top-seeded player, showcased his prowess by defeating Harshal Rana of India in a compelling match with scores of 11-6, 11-5, and 11-7. Additionally, Ahmed Rayan Khalil exhibited superior skill, overcoming Malaysia’s Armann Merzha bin Ashraff with scores of 11-7, 11-3, and 11-3.

Boys U13

Sohail Adnan, Pakistan’s top seed in the Boys U13 category, easily surpassed India’s Abhyuday Arora with a score of 11-2, 11-8, 11-2, ensuring his participation in the semifinals.

Girls U13 & U15

Mahnoor Ali achieved a decisive victory in the Girls U13 category, defeating India’s Anika Kalanki with scores of 11-6, 11-2, and 11-3. However, Sehrish Ali’s journey in the Girls U15 quarterfinals concluded with a loss to Malaysia’s Siti Syaurah A Sufian with a score of 4-11, 7-11, and 2-11.

With a strong presence in the semifinals across various age categories, Pakistan is well-positioned to secure several medals in this prestigious championship.
