Grealish Expected to Complete Medical Ahead of Everton Loan
Reports indicate that Everton has reached an agreement with Manchester City for a season-long loan of English midfielder Jack Grealish.
Grealish, who made a high-profile move from Aston Villa to City for £100 million four years ago, has experienced a reduction in his playtime, fueling speculation about a potential transfer.
The international player for England only started in seven games for Manchester City during the 2024/25 season and was absent from the Club World Cup squad.
Everton’s manager, David Moyes, is reportedly a strong admirer of Grealish, who will be 30 next month.
The Englishman is anticipated to undergo a health evaluation before his loan to Everton is officially finalized.
Aiming to participate in the upcoming FIFA World Cup, the 29-year-old needs consistent playing time, making Everton a potentially suitable environment for him to secure that opportunity.
He was also not selected for England’s team for the 2024 European Championship.
Sources say that Grealish has been diligently training to ensure he is in optimal condition for the approaching season.
Previously, Grealish had been associated with a move to Serie A champions Napoli during the summer, but it is believed he will remain in the Premier League, assisting Everton in initiating a fresh chapter.
The former Aston Villa forward played a vital role in City’s Treble-winning season in 2023, contributing significantly to their successes in the Premier League, Champions League, and FA Cup.
If Grealish’s move proves successful, he could potentially debut for Everton in their Premier League season opener against Leeds on August 18.
